High Impact first opened its doors in Vail, Colorado in January of 1998. Upon hiring the finest graphic artists and medical illustrators, the nationwide business took off and the company began to grow.
High Impact came into being as a spin-off from it's parent company Forensic Medical Reviewers, Inc. FMR has been in business since 1991 and is a leading medical malpractice case review and nationwide referral service for attorneys in search of medical experts willing to review cases for medical negligence and testify to their findings.
In this line of work, attorneys were continually asking where they could find medical illustrations to support their expert's testimony. After seven years of either forwarding or outsourcing the work, the decision was made to enter the business of legal graphics and animations.
By the end of High Impact's second year, limited space and the logistical constraints of operating a business on top of a mountain overlooking the nation's largest ski resort became overwhelming, and the company moved to Denver. This location has provided High Impact with the means to better serve its many local clients and the ability to provide excellent national service via Federal Express out of Denver International Airport.
